Title of Show
100% Organic—Paintings Inspired by Nature
First Friday Reception
Friday, October 7, 2005 from 5 to 8 PM
Artist Statement
In this series of paintings we are exploring organic forms found in nature. We are attracted to, and inspired by forms which have movement and flow, such as trees, leaves, and flowers, and more static forms that have been sculpted by nature such as bones and rocks. A feeling of life, a sense of sacredness, and the spiritual connection we experience from our natural surroundings are all ideas we are attempting to convey. We hope our art strikes the same deeper chord within you. Thanks for coming, and enjoy the show!
Additional Works
Snow City has been showing original local artwork since we opened in 1998. We are truly grateful to all of the artists who have shared their work with us, everything from incredibly colorful quilts and marionettes
to beautiful watercolor and oil paintings.
During the winter months we host Alaska Quarterly Review on First Fridays with readings and eclectic music. Check out what's coming up at AQR
