Anchorage Press, August 18-24, 2005

We changed the category from “best breakfast” to “best brunch” this year, but no matter.  You like your Ship Creek Benedict, your Tofu Scramble, your Crabby Omelet, which is why you head to Snow City Cafe (4th Ave. and L St., 272-2489).  They serve breakfast all day, brew Kaladi coffee, and have options for the vegetarian, meat lover and Egg Beater crowds.  The cute little snowman logo with the spoon-and-fork arms alone is worth the trip.

Fuel Up:  Hungry hikers can get their breakfast fix at Snow City Cafe, where the java keeps flowing and the hefty Ship Creek Benedict—two poached eggs and grilled salmon cakes smothered with holandaise and served on an English muffin—is sure to please.

What better way to enjoy the first meal of the day than by indulging in fine eggs benedict and taking in a fabulous art display?  In an upset, Snow City Cafe (1034 W. 4th Ave., 279-3954) got most of your votes this year ...
